Summer 2022 – CIS-115

The purpose of this page is to keep you informed of any information I have concerning CIS-115 for summer.

Here are some links and some information you may need. (If you know anything that may need (posting or changing) let me know and I will gladly post it.). Thanks.

Textbook

Textbook: (An eText is included in their REVEL account)

The GTCC bookstore will deliver the Gaddis textbook with Day One Access. This means the students get the eText for free for 10 days. They actually have access to all course materials from Pearson, until 10 days after the course starts (not sure how many days in the summer). During the trial period the students need to pay. If not, then their access is removed at the end of the time period. It is the 1st edition for REVEL but it is the 4th edition we have been using as far as content.

ISBN-13: 978-0-13-511651-7

Canvas

I am working on a Canvas shell for this summer of 2022. When it gets approved by eLearning I will place it on the Moodle Site "Computer Technologies Faculty" site near the bottom. Here is a proposed schedule for summer of 2022 in Excel format:

Summer2022Schedule 1.0.xlsx

Here is a link for Revel so that you do NOT have to create the class in REVEL. If you would like to copy the class I built for summer 2022 then here is the copy code: 76vhtf9

The Steps to copy my course in REVEL:

1.      Log into REVEL

2.      Click "Create a new course"

3.      Click the link "Copy another instructor's materials"

4.      Paste a code to copy another instructor's materials and then click Find (see above for code)

5.      On the screen which appears, review your setup and then click the button labeled "Set it up".

If you have any questions at all please email me at:

Thanks in advance,
